APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION BY MOTION
WHEN APPLYING FOR ADMISSION TO THE MAINE BAR THROUGH EXAMINATION, ADMISSION BY MOTION OR UBE SCORE TRANSFER, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SUBMIT THE MOST RECENT APPLICATION. OLDER VERSIONS OF APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

In order to apply for admission pursuant to Maine Bar Admission Rule 11A, you will need to complete both the MAINE SUPPLEMENTAL ADMISSION BY MOTION APPLICATION and the - NCBE Application for Applicants Admitted in Another Jurisdiction for One Year or More.
The download of the Maine Supplemental Application will include complete filing instructions.
Completed applications, along with the appropriate fee as outlined in the application instructions, should be submitted to:

Applications for admission by motion under Maine Bar Admission Rule 11A may be withdrawn at any time by notifying the Board, in writing, of an applicant’s intention to withdraw the application. Pursuant to M.B.A.R. 6, application fees are nonrefundable. However, the Board will credit the application fee of any motion applicant toward the application fee to sit for the Maine bar examination, provided said examination application is received within two (2) years of the date of withdrawal of the admission by motion application.
