Exam Taker Information

On the first day that the software can be downloaded, you will receive an email sent to the address you provided on your examination application. The email will contain password instructions and your user ID. After registration opens, email reminders will be sent until you have completed the registration process.

Registration steps:
You must complete the following requirements within the established date range in advance of the bar examination you plan to take.

Before you start, confirm your device meets ALL minimum system requirements. You must download and install Examplify on the laptop you will use on exam day.  There is a $50 administrative fee if you wish to re-download the software on a new device.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE FOR WINDOWS USERS: ARM-based processors are not currently supported. If you have a Windows device with an ARM-based processor, you will need to use a different device for the exam.
  • You must have administrator level account permissions for your Windows or Mac device to install Examplify.

1. Log in – Go to http://www.examsoft.com/MEbar and login with the assigned ID and password in the Exam Takers section in the upper left of the page.
2. Pay — You are required to pay the license fee for each exam (even if you previously used Examplify for a different bar exam or during law school). You should carefully read the payment screen before completing your payment. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The license fee is $90.00.
3. Download Examplify — follow the instructions to download and install Examplify.
4. Register – Enter your ID and password into Examplify to register your copy.
5. Exam Files and the Mock exam will automatically download to your computer after successfully registering Examplify.
6. Complete and Upload the Mock examination. Failure to complete the mock exam may prevent you from being able to use your computer on exam day.
7. Equipment – You will be required to access the Internet following each examination session to upload your answers. This can be completed after you leave the exam site.

This process must be completed each time you register to take the bar examination, regardless of any previous Examplify registrations you may have completed for this bar examination or any other examination.
