UBE Score Transfer

FEE INCREASE FOR UBE SCORE TRANSFER APPLICATIONS

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court has increased the fees for all applications submitted to the Maine Board of Bar Examiners.  Beginning March 15, 2025, the fees for UBE Score Transfer applications are as follows:

  • Applicants Seeking Admission Pursuant to Rule 11B Not Admitted in Another Jurisdiction for a Year or More: $900
  • Applicants Seeking Admission Pursuant to Rule 11B Admitted in Another Jurisdiction for a Year or More: $1,000 (plus the NCBE Character and Fitness Application fee paid directly to NCBE)

UBE SCORE TRANSFER APPLICATION

When applying for admission to the Maine Bar through Admission by Motion or UBE Score Transfer, please make sure to submit the most recent application.  Older versions of applications will not be accepted.

UBE SCORE TRANSFER APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

Maine Bar Admission Rule 11B states that a UBE score will be transferrable if the UBE score was earned in an administration of the Uniform Bar Examination that occurred within 3 years prior to the date the applicant’s application for admission to the Maine bar is received.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

*In accordance with Maine Bar Admissions Rule 6(a), applicants shall make payments by debit card, credit card, personal check, cashier’s check, certified check, or money order payable to the Board of Bar Examiners.*
